How to Clean and Maintain Your Voopoo Coils
Voopoo is a popular brand among vapers, known for their innovative designs and high-quality products. One of their most important accessories are the coils, which play a crucial role in producing good flavor and vapor. However, like any other coil, they require regular cleaning and maintenance to prolong their lifespan and ensure a consistent vaping experience. In this guide, we will discuss the steps you need to take to properly clean and maintain your Voopoo coils.
Cleaning Your Coils:
The first step in maintaining your voopoo coil is cleaning them regularly. This should be done at least once a week or whenever you change flavors. To clean your coils, follow these simple steps:
- Remove the coil from your device: Before you start cleaning, make sure to remove the coil from your device. This will prevent any liquid or debris from getting into your device and causing damage.
- Rinse with warm water: Holding the coil under a running faucet of warm water, gently rinse away any excess e-liquid and buildup on the surface of the coil. Make sure to rinse both the inside and outside of the coil.
- Dry with a paper towel: Once you have rinsed the coil, use a paper towel to pat it dry. Do not use any cloth or tissue as this can leave behind fibers that may affect the performance of your coil.
- Dry burn the coil: This step is optional but highly recommended. Using a low wattage setting, fire your device for a few seconds to dry out any remaining water or liquid from the coil.
- Let the coil air dry: After drying the coil, allow it to air dry completely before using it again. This will ensure that no moisture remains and prevent any potential issues with your device.
Maintaining Your Coils:
Besides regular cleaning, there are a few things you can do to maintain your Voopoo coils and prolong their lifespan. These include:
- Priming your coils: Before using a new coil or after cleaning your current one, make sure to prime it properly by saturating the cotton wick with e-liquid before use. This will prevent dry hits and extend the life of your coil.
- Avoiding high VG liquids: Using e-liquids with a high vegetable glycerin (VG) content can cause buildup and gunk on your coils, resulting in a shorter lifespan. Opt for e-liquids with a higher propylene glycol (PG) ratio to avoid this issue.
- Changing flavors properly: If you plan on switching to a different flavor of e-liquid, it is best to change the coil as well. This will prevent any lingering flavors from mixing and affecting the taste of your new e-liquid.
